June, 2008
Hey Ya’ll,
I trust this month’s Dribble finds everyone doing well and enjoying the “HOT”
riding weather we are already having. It’s time for the June Directors Dribble.
I plan to make this month's dribble even shorter and less painful than last months. J Yes, that’s an even BIGGER switch from last month’s Dribble.

Things have been going well for Chapter E-2. (As far as I can tell)
We turned out another GREAT BUNCH of bikes and riders again last month.
Just to let you know, we turned out a total of 178 riders in May.
This includes our Fri dinner rides as well as the Saturday events we did.
THAT IS OUT OF SITE. FAR OUT DUDES & DUDETTS, as we used to say a couple years ago. (30, 35 years ago?) HUH?? ARE YOU STILL HAVING FUN????? ME TOO!!!!

Looks like the first half (almost) of 2008 has been great for rider turn out.
807 people PLUS in five months. It looks like we are well on our way, to you know what. J
LIONS & TIGERS & BEARS, OH MY!!
“THANK’S” to all the riders that participate each month.

We continued to have our local visitors from other chapters last month.
Hinesville and Beaufort S.C. have continued to support us and I really do appreciate it. You know your ALL Family.
I want to thank Pappy & Bingo for taking care of the meeting in May.
Irene & myself took a fantastic ride to Orlando & Tampa Florida and had more fun than the law allows.
WELL, let’s talk about our BONEHEAD AWARD and get that out the way.
It looks like our dear FRIEND; Frank Wood has earned this lustrous AWARD once again. YO, WHAT”S UP DOG??? WOFF WOFF. Who let the Dogs OUT?

Yes, I can sing that tune NOW. I have passed the BONE along to someone else that made that silly little mistake. Until that is, the next meeting. (GRIN GRIN)
Remember, someone is watching YOU. Can you say BONEHEAD?

I would like to again at this time remind everyone about the following:

Robert & Trish have once again set up our Friday dinner rides and Saturday rides for May. All this info is listed in the Friday Dinner Rides Page on our web site. Check it out when you can. They continue to do a really great job.
If you complain about not having a place to ride you must NOT be reading this Dribble, our newsletter or looking at our web site.
If there’s a place you want them to add to the rides, please let them know and they’ll take care of it. Remember, if they don’t know what and where you would like to go, they can not add it to the list.

Pappy & Bingo, Julian & Nita, Clarence & Pat, Glenn & Jane,
Chuck & Karen are ALL doing an outstanding job and I appreciate it.

Well, looks like I’m running out of things to say again. J
Hey, I said it would be shorter and it was right? Less painful? SAY YES.

I would like to remind everyone of the upcoming Wing Fling Georgia State Rally in June. This is working up to be a great event.
Also, the Wing Ding, coming up in July. Remember to make your room or camping reservations and register ahead of time. Remember, if you can’t make the rally this year, you can still order a rally shirt. Fill out the registration form and turn it in to us or JJ & Marcia and they will take care of you.

Check our web site for these and other great Goldwing events. There’s a number of them coming and every one of them is more fun than you could imagine OR than your wallet & credit cards can stand. J

I’ll end this month same as always.

On behalf of the Officers and Staff of Chapter E-2, let me say “THANK YOU” for your support. Without every one of you coming to the Friday dinners, buying our tickets for 50/50, supporting all of our meetings and other events, we would be broke, sitting home looking for something to do. J
As it stands, we are not broke, only bent a little and we do have things to do.

Also, please allow ME to say “THANK YOU” to the Officers, Staff and my sweet love, Irene. It’s really them that do all the work.
I really would like to say again, all the E-2 staff is doing a fantastic job at setting things up and TCB’ing. (Taking care of business) THANK YA’LL.

Remember to watch out for each other and watch the other guy; they are probably not watching for you.

Ride Safe.
God Bless,
Roy & Irene

Rider Coordinator News:
Thank you all for being so patient while Robert recovered from his recent dirt bike mishap. He is able to ride again…..yeah! The weather is hot, so the rides this month are shorter and to air-conditioned locations. Remember that you can organize a ride anytime you like, we won’t be offended.
Trish should be back on track with the newsletter. June is getting emailed as she types and she’s already working on the July edition. Thanks for your patience there as well.
Stay cool and ride safe! Robert & Trish

Motorcycle And You Awareness Month

Where are the engine, transmission and drive axle gear box located on 90% of all vehicles? Usually in the center of the vehicle. This means that any leaks in those areas are going to deposit grease, oil, transmission fluid and/or anti-freeze in the middle of the lane, which soaks into the roadway and never goes away. When it starts to rain, it is the worst time for any vehicle as the water is washing the loose liquids all over the road. This means that four-wheeler, three wheelers and two wheelers can go sliding all over the road. After about thirty minutes, experts (?) say the loose liquids have washed away, but slow down for the conditions and be careful. Dry, sunny days still leave some areas with a build up of these fluid and you can still slide and break your behind, so it is a good idea to ride either the left or right tire track. Safety experts say the left is best so the driver in front can see you in his mirrors.
Another good reason to stay out of the center lane, even on dry days, is because of nails, bolts, screws, forks, wrenches, jagged pieces of metal and glass that has been kicked into the center by vehicles ahead of you that your tires can pick up. Also, if you are running the center lane and maybe too close to the vehicle in front of you, you may have an unwelcome surprise, such as a piece of lumber or cinder block appear from the vehicle in front, not giving you a chance to react quickly enough.
Remember to SEE – Search, Evaluate, Execute – all of the time. Search out and identify potential dangers, Evaluate what needs to be done and Execute your plan ALWAYS.
Till next time, Ride Safe, Have Fun and Enjoy Life!

The Travels of Pat & Clarence………

During the month of May, your Ambassadors for the District traveled to several chapters to get our visitor bars. We had a great time first visiting Moultrie and the Tifton and last but not least, Albany. Everyone was very nice to us. We made a lot of new friends and got to see some old ones as well.

We hope to visit more chapters later, but now we have recovered from back surgery and have to go back to work.
Happy Travels,
Your District Ambassadors,
Clarence and Pat Taylor

Hee….Hee….Guess who got tired of being picked on and recently upgraded their trailer.
